Previously, we used 24-karat gold plating but decided to switch to ion plating. The main factors were its comparable cost to gold plating and its improved physical properties, along with positive customer feedback.

The color of the gold ion plating perfectly matched our requirements. Unlike gold plating, which needed a clear coat to avoid scratches and debris issues, ion plating addresses these concerns effectively. However, the lead time is somewhat longer.
