The founder of NCC previously led the ion plating division.
The decision to start this business arose from a sudden announcement that the owner intended to close the division due to decreasing connections with their main business of eyewear frame manufacturing. Despite the tough conditions in the eyewear industry at that time, the potential of ion plating in other sectors was becoming clear, leading to confusion over the closure decision.

The development of multi-color ion plating started during the founder's time as head of the division, with support from a grant program by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Originally, ion plating was available only in gold, but the demand for colors like gray and brown in eyewear led to extensive experimentation and the creation of color coating technology. Motivated by a desire to preserve this technology, the founder expanded into other industries and received strong support from customers.

NCC was established with the philosophy of "contributing to our customers' businesses" in response to customer requests to continue the business. Despite initial financial challenges, the company secured support from Fukui Prefecture's startup assistance program and financial institutions. By inviting former colleagues who shared in the struggles, the business progressed and has now developed to the point where internal engineers handle ion plating processing.

NCC remains committed to the original mission of "contributing to our customers' businesses," and, with the motto of "growing together with our customers," continues to pursue new opportunities alongside customers interested in our technology and business.
